About Rivershores Hardwood Flooring
Back in the mid-1980s, in Ada, Michigan, Rivershores opened up shop as mainly an exterior building products supplier. Our headquarters moved to Jefferson Ave. SW, in Wyoming, Michigan, and became Rivershores Hardwood Flooring in 1990.
Adding a service side to our wheelhouse, the company began growing exponentially as we added staff and service vehicles to the growing business.
Eventually, exterior products and services slowed, and hardwood flooring, supply, and installation became our forte. In 1999, in order to be more accessible to our builders, architects, and designers on the lakeshore, Rivershores built a satellite office in Holland, Michigan. Shortly after that, a showroom was also created in the Jefferson building, where several of the sales staff had offices, and the service technicians continued to be headquartered.

became aggressively involved in researching new and better products. We realized there was a market for more eco-friendly resources and, in the early 2000s, began selling and installing reclaimed and sustainable products and using more environmentally friendly adhesives.
As We Grow
In 2013, the company was ready to branch out again. We opened a Design Studio in Gaslight Village of East Grand Rapids. At this time we added cabinet lines as well as accompanying countertops to our already beautiful array of flooring products. Talented in-house designers specializing in kitchen and bath have been added to our staff to assist in the layout and choices of décor for our customers. The company name was also changed, at this time, to fit our new business venture, Rivershores Hardwood Flooring and Cabinetry Company.
