There are very few people who are not captivated by Walnut’s deep, rich tones; tones that are occasionally highlighted with small sprays of lighter wood. The fluid movement in the grain gives Walnut floors a dynamic, ever-new character that pleases the eye each time you look at it.

Appearance

COLOR: A decorative wood with a stately sophisticated appearance, Walnut is often used in pianos, furniture and large surfaces such as panels and hardwood floors. Its warmth softens while dark tones add character. This dense hardwood is imbued with a deep, rich brown coloration and exceedingly fine graining.

GRAIN: Mostly straight and open, but some boards have burled or curly grain.

DIMENSIONAL STABILITY: Excellent

DURABILITY: Strong and Hard

Grades - Prefinished

TIMELESS: Strict grading rules limit the size and number of any natural defects such as knots, streaks, or sap wood. Select or Timeless grading is for the customer looking for the clearest and most consistent look to their flooring.

VINTAGE: This grade allows tight filled knots, as well as other naturally occurring characteristics of wood such as streaks, mineral, limited worm holes, color variation and sap wood.

COLONIAL: This grade allows unlimited character markings that are found naturally in solid wood.
